1tablespoonfresh dill or parsleychopped (optional)
1/4teaspoonsalt
1/8teaspoonblack pepper
For the Wraps
8large lettuce leavesromaine, butter lettuce, or iceberg
Instructions
Prepare the Tuna Salad
Drain the canned tuna thoroughly using a fine-mesh strainer to remove excess liquid.
Transfer the tuna to a medium bowl and break it up into smaller chunks using a fork.
Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, celery, red onion, lemon juice, fresh dill or parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Prepare the Lettuce Leaves
Wash the lettuce leaves gently under cold water and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel. Ensure the leaves remain intact and are large enough to hold the tuna salad.
Assemble the Wraps
Lay a lettuce leaf flat on a clean surface.
Spoon about 2–3 tablespoons of tuna salad onto the center of the leaf.
Carefully fold the edges of the lettuce leaf around the filling to create a wrap or taco shape.
Serve and Enjoy
Arrange the wraps on a serving plate. Optionally, garnish with additional fresh herbs or serve with lemon wedges on the side. Enjoy immediately for the best texture and flavor.
Notes
If preparing ahead, store the tuna salad in the fridge for up to 3 days and assemble the wraps just before serving.
For a dairy-free option, substitute mayonnaise with mashed avocado.
Adjust seasoning to taste. Add more lemon juice or herbs for extra brightness.
Double up the lettuce leaves for sturdier wraps, especially if using softer varieties like butter lettuce.
