Equipment

  • 1 Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Hand or stand mixer
  • 1 Knife and cutting board
  • 1 Serving dish (Trifle bowl or individual cups)
  • 1 Whisk (optional for mixing cream)

Ingredients

  • 3 large Peaches fresh, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup Heavy cream cold
  • 1/2 cup Sugar granulated
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Mascarpone cheese optional, for added richness
  • 1/4 cup Crushed graham crackers optional, for crust or topping
  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon optional, for added flavor

Instructions

  • Prepare the Peach Filling: Peel and slice the peaches into thin wedges or small chunks. Place them in a bowl and set them aside. For extra sweetness, sprinkle with a light dusting of sugar and let sit for a few minutes to draw out the juice.
  • Whip the Cream: In a mixing bowl, pour the cold heavy cream. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, whip the cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and vanilla extract while continuing to whip until stiff peaks form. For extra creaminess, fold in the mascarpone cheese at this stage, if using.
  • Assemble the Dessert: In a serving dish, layer the peach slices, followed by the whipped cream. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on top. Garnish with crushed graham crackers and a dusting of cinnamon if desired.
  • Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the dessert to set and the flavors to meld together. Serve chilled in individual portions or in a large serving dish.

Notes

Recipe Notes

  • For the best flavor, use ripe, fresh peaches in season. If fresh peaches aren’t available, frozen or canned peaches can be used, but fresh peaches provide the best texture.
  • If you prefer a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with whipped Greek yogurt or coconut cream.
  • This dessert can be made a day ahead, which allows the flavors to meld and the cream to set beautifully.
  • If you’re looking for an extra crunchy texture, you can add a graham cracker or cookie crust at the bottom of the dish.
