Ingredients
  

For the Ice Cream Base:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • tsp salt

For the Buttered Pecans:

  • ½ cup pecans chopped
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions
 

Step 1: Toast the Buttered Pecans

  • In a small skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped pecans and sprinkle 1 tbsp brown sugar on top.
  • Stir continuously for about 3-5 minutes until the pecans are fragrant and lightly caramelized.
  • Transfer to a plate and let cool completely.

Step 2: Prepare the Ice Cream Base

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container, making sure it does not exceed the fill line.
  • Secure the lid and freeze for at least 24 hours until solid.

Step 3: Process in the Ninja Creami

  • Remove the frozen pint from the freezer and place it in the Ninja Creami outer bowl.
  • Lock it into the machine and select “Ice Cream” mode.
  • After the first spin, check the texture. If it looks crumbly, add 1-2 tbsp whole milk and run the re-spin cycle.

Step 4: Add the Buttered Pecans

  • Make a small well in the center of the ice cream and add the toasted pecans.
  • Select “Mix-In” mode to evenly distribute the pecans throughout the ice cream.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy

  • Scoop the ice cream into bowls or cones and savor the creamy, buttery pecan goodness!

Notes

  • For a softer texture, let the ice cream sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Want extra crunch? Add toffee bits or caramel sauce during the mix-in process.
  • To store leftovers, keep the ice cream in the Ninja Creami pint and re-freeze. Use the re-spin cycle before serving again.
  • For a dairy-free version, swap heavy cream and milk for full-fat coconut milk and use vegan butter.
