Equipment

  • Ice Cream Maker (optional): 1
  • Mixing Bowls – 2
  • Hand or stand mixer (1)
  • Fine Mesh Strainer or Sieve: 1
  • Airtight Freezer Container: 1
  • Spatula or Spoon: 1

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Heavy cream
  • 1 can 14 oz Sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon optional
  • 2 cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal for infusing milk
  • 1 cup Whole milk for infusing cereal
  • 1 cup Crushed Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal for mix-ins

Optional: Caramel sauce or chocolate chips for extra flavor

Instructions

Infuse the Cereal Milk:

  • In a mixing bowl, pour 1 cup of whole milk over the 2 cups of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal.
Let it sit for 10-15 minutes to allow the milk to absorb the cinnamon flavor.
Strain the mixture using a fine mesh strainer, pressing gently to extract all the infused milk.

Whip the Cream:

  • In another mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with a hand mixer or stand mixer until soft peaks form. Be careful not to over-whip it.

Prepare the Ice Cream Base:

  • In a separate bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon (if using).
Slowly add in the cereal-infused milk and mix thoroughly.

Combine the Mixtures:

  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the milk mixture, ensuring you don’t deflate the whipped cream.
The mixture should stay light and fluffy.

Freeze or Churn:

  • If you're making this without an ice cream maker, transfer the mixture to an airtight container and freeze for 6-8 hours or until firm. If you're using an ice cream maker, follow the manufacturer’s instructions for churning, usually around 20-25 minutes.

Add the Cereal Mix-ins:

  • Once the ice cream reaches a soft-serve consistency (if using an ice cream maker) or is almost frozen (for no-churn),
fold in the crushed Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal for added crunch and texture.

Final Freezing:

  • After mixing in the cereal, return the ice cream to the freezer for another 2-4 hours to firm up completely.

Serve & Enjoy:

  • Once the ice cream is firm and ready, scoop it into bowls or cones.
Add extra cereal or any toppings of your choice and enjoy!

Notes

  • Customizable Flavors: Feel free to experiment with other mix-ins like chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, or swirls of caramel for different flavor combinations.
  • Make It Dairy-Free: Substitute the heavy cream with coconut cream and use dairy-free sweetened condensed milk to make this a dairy-free treat.
  • Infusion Time: Make sure to infuse the cereal for at least 10-15 minutes to get that signature cinnamon flavor, but don't let it soak too long to avoid a soggy mixture.
  • Storage: Store any leftover ice cream in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
