Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices Whole Grain Bread or your preferred bread
  • 1 Ripe Avocado
  • 1 Large Tomato or 2-3 smaller tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil optional
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • Red Pepper Flakes optional
  • Fresh Basil or Arugula optional garnish
  • Lemon or Lime Juice optional

Instructions
 

Toast the Bread

  • Toast your bread to your desired level of crispiness, either in a toaster or using a skillet.

Prepare the Avocado

  • Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit.
    Scoop out the flesh into a small bowl and mash it with a fork.
    Season with a pinch of salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon or lime juice (optional).

Slice the Tomatoes

  • Slice the tomato into rounds or halves (if using cherry tomatoes).

Assemble the Toast

  • Spread the mashed avocado evenly on the toasted bread. Arrange the sliced tomatoes on top of the avocado.

Season and Garnish

  • Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste. Optionally, drizzle with olive oil, add red pepper flakes for heat, or garnish with fresh basil or arugula.
